Gigi Lau

Gigi Lau-Gilsinan is a co-founder of Urban Muse Center Inc, a non-profit organization. She is currently working for a Manhattan-based, non-profit developer in real estate development on affordable housing. She takes charge of the pre-development and construction stage of the projects: from searching lands, acquisition, closing, construction, and leasing. She has been working in design and construction since 2008. She has experience in architectural design firms, non-profit and for-profit developers, and general contractors.

Gigi’s articles have been published in Singapore Architect Magazine. She has been invited to speak at “Walkable City, Living Streets” urban conference, and “Professionals in Social Movement” seminar.

Gigi holds a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from The University of Hong Kong and a 2nd Master’s Degree in Urban Policy MS, focusing on affordable housing finance, from Milano, The New School in New York City. She earned a Diploma in Graphic Design with Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop, and a Diploma in Computer-aided Design with Autodesk AutoCAD.



Michael Gilsinan

In 2010, Michael Gilsinan officially launched the Fort Lee School of Music.  Michael has proven to be a leader in his field with the ability to bring together a diverse group of talented professionals.   Emphasizing a strong community by encouraging collaborations amongst students with a focus on the fundamentals of music, Mr. Gilsinan continues to hone his own approach to music education.  His teaching motto is “where fun meets challenging.”

As a musician, his signature is the modernization of ancient songs using multinational instruments.  Michael has been a featured guitarist in concerts at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C.; Sydney Opera House, Sydney, Australia; Teatro Nacional, Casco Viejo, Panama; and Camerata Hall, Paju, South Korea.

Michael and his wife Gigi Lau Gilsinan founded Urban Muse Center, a platform to focus on Urban Research; Arts and Design; and advocating for neighborhoods with strong creative and economic activity.  

Michael holds a Masters Degree and Bachelors Degree in classical guitar performance from Mannes School of Music at the New School in New York City.
